Awesome, awesome stuff, folks (TPs) ... I love KG's old-school attitude and strut, and he has as much team spirit, and knows and epitomizes what Celtic Pride is all about, as much as anyone before him or since.
The first time he walked through those Garden doors he took on the mantle, spirit and tradition of Boston Celtics basketball, and he has always carried it since then with the full yoke of humility, competitiveness and cutting-edge intensity.
After his injuries last season, I honestly thought he'd never get back to a hundred percent, but he has done so by far exceeding any expectations, and has been the anchor at both ends of the floor, (and off the floor), that we so desperately needed.
We are so priveleged to be watching such history and excellence unfold before our eyes, and so blessed to be taking part in another chapter of one of the most storied sports franchises of all time. There will never be another Big Ticket, and I'm so happy he's sharing all this with us.
I could write a similar post for every one of these guys, each with their own unique characteristics and talents, but I think KG really set the tone for this one, and gave the team the emotional and physical standard needed to pull out such a gutsy win.
This was an ugly, ugly game, folks, and our boys were just plain awful in the first half, (and not much better in the second), but behind Ticket's spirit and grit, they dug down deep and did what was needed to steal one in South Beach. Man, I'm proud of this team tonight!
Go Celtics!
