initial roster at the start of the year.
I mean we have bench players playing as starters and D-Leaguers for our bench.
Add to that all the injuries that guys are playing with currently and you have a team that is very unpredictable.
Some games we look like we can't be beat and other games we look like we should be a lottery team and it's frustrating but shouldn't be unexpected considering the schedule and the lack of practice time.
KG is playing center for crying out loud.
I know people and fans aren't high on Perkins but if he was still our starting center it would drastically change the roster's chemistry, spirit, and rotation.
Obviously if we don't make the Finals it's going to be disappointing but we shouldn't be knocking our guys considering all that is going on this season.
JO was a long shot all alone, so that really doesn't mean much to me. The Wilcox loss was tough, but KG has been better at center. The problem is that KG never wanted to play center until circumstance forced him there. In that sense, we benefited from getting KG to play C with Bass at PF.
Bradley earned the starting spot by developing as a player.
What d-leaguers do we have on our bench? Stiemsma was on our NBA roster from preseason. Pavlovic? Did JJJ or Moore play even a single d-league game (and they aren't playing in the playoffs anyway)? Pietrus was added using JO's roster spot and he has contributed a lot (though I suspect we still would have tried for him if JO was playing and not bothered with Sean Williams). Hollins has been in the league a while and has already played 314 NBA games. Quis is a vet who is just not used due to him not being effective.
Who have we really lost beside Wilcox and now Bradley?
I think the problem is that our initial roster itself just wasn't that great because 3 of our best players are old for the NBA. Even if we were to win it all, it would be through 4 difficult series.
