I think atlanta series helped out Rajon a lot, there was a lot of "low pressure" shots he took regularly (usually at the last few seconds of a quarter), and he hit them at really good rate.
What I meant is that he put himself in a position where no one will "call him out" if he misses, i.e. 3pts with less than secon on shotclock, afore mentioned last 5 sec of a qtr when he gets ball inbounded under his basket etc.
Anyone who played some bball knows what wonders actually seeing your shot goes in couple of times does for your confidence going forward, and I think he is now really starting to belive that he can shoot the ball at decent rate.
But now situation has reversed from last few years, earlier he hit unbeliveable good % from hard looks around the basket (his floater, that hard layup over centers where he hits the backbord almost at highest point etc), and now he is missing most of those contested layups, while his previous shooting from midrange actually looks solid so far this postseason.
Nowdays when I miss a game and he goes 3-11 or 5-17 I m almost sure he missed bunch of layups, while ealier I could bet my house that other team forced him into jumpshots.
All in all it's a step forward for him imho.
