The source, folks, the source ... The Onion is and always has been filled with crapola and made-up stories, all with the purpose of "stirring the pot" and creating faux controversy. I wouldn't believe a word of this until I saw it in a reliable context.

Rajon. It's not about age. It's about maturity. None of these guys bumped refs in the playoffs back in the day. Yes yes. Paul Pierce. But he got lectures too and didn't cry about it. If you want the lectures to go away don't act this way. If you want young players to compare yourself turn on sportscenter and see if anyone your age is bumping refs. They're not. And don't compare yourself to morons like Amare or Meta Idiot. Those guys are idiots.
The. Onion.
I'm giving him a lecture

About something he never said? Very effective.
He might be going along with the joke

Shoulda added a disclaimer that it was parody.  Most everyone knows the Onion writes fake news articles, but it's a little more difficult when it's just presented as a random article quote with a tiny little "onion" in the corner.  I could see a lot of people not catching that.

That said, it was obviously fake... so it would still probably take a pretty gullible person to take it seriously.

Wow at the serious-face responses here. ಠ_ಠ

Lesson from this thread: link satire at your own personal peril. I have distributed TPs to all brave souls who jumped on the grenade.

Yup, I know that, and you know that, but there are clearly, (previous replies), many here who do not ... just trying to clarify for some. :)

That was my read on it.

I think he needs a "mother figure"

And Doc does like to hire ex-head coaches for his staff.

Time to hire

Gee, I hoped to be the first in line to apply for that one...but my resume is sadly lacking compared to Whoopi!  Guess I won't have to relocate.  Oh, yeah....HOORAY!!!  ;)

That does bring up a good question...

Did anyone see this move and can tell the rest of us what Whoope's record was?

That way, we can see how her resume measures up to thirstyboots.
