Some ridiculous votes out there, with 20 players receiving a first-place vote.  Kyle Lowry, Andrew Bogut, and Marc Gasol all received a single first-place vote as their sole vote.  Anderson only appears on 61% of ballots.

Congrats to Ryan...he needs to now play his tail off for ORL to keep from going down 3-1, though.

Simply AMAZING that AB is already on this list, at 22 years of age. The young fella has only been playing since March, too.

Keep it up, AB!

exactly! I mean, how is that even possible? Do they just erase the time he was good and consider a year of mediocrity due to injuries as the baseline for comparison to this season? Totally pathetic.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Why is Bogut on the list.......................
I like Marcus Smart

I don't like Ryan Anderson winning. He didn't improve at all.

He just finally got the minutes from SVG that he had deserved for 2+ years.

I thought Tony Parker was a fair choice. He just had the best season of his career.

One could argue and many do that T.Parker was one of the top ten players in the league this season. He has been All-Star caliber player in the past but never at this high of a level (top ten player).

Why is Bogut on the list.......................
The Bogut one I don't get at all. Maybe they scribbled his name down on the wrong ballot ... but what ballot could they have thought he was deserving of? I don't know. Oddball choice, there's always a few of them (such as PJ Brown getting an MVP vote).

I just don't like the idea of putting a guy with a HoF resume on a most improved player ballot. He didn't really improve. He just had a great year.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Well, this explains the Bogut thing:

Quote from: @NBAonESPN
From NBA: A first place MIP vote was incorrectly awarded to Andrew Bogut. Should have gone to Andrew Bynum.

And just for fun he's been exposed this playoff series against the Pacers.

Without Dwight Howard to play off of he's been a sieve on defense no matter which Pacers front court player he's had to guard.

Hollinger said that through game 3 the Magic starters only had a DREB% of 50.5. That's just mind boggling bad through three games.

Ilyasova's improved year just absolutely flew under my radar.
