What Up!
I just found a great piece on Rondo and J-Smoove, take a look!
Quote
“I’m always a big team guy, and I don’t know if that generated from me being super close to my
family, my brothers and sisters,” said Smith. “But I’m always looking to try and put another guy
onto my teammates, because I’m so unselfish. Me and Rondo had similarities in that way too. Nobody understands the bond that me and him have as friends and teammates.

No one except Rondo, anyway. “He was very supportive. It was crazy how we became so close,” said Rondo.
“We complemented each other. We were always looking for each other, we were passionate about winning. Very
competitive. We made each other better, I think. We would race in practice, and we played each other one-on-one. We were like brothers.”

“Our basketball IQs are through the roof,” said Smith. “We understand each other, we know each other’s games.
He’s just a good friend. We can talk about anything. But whenever we have conversations, they are definitely intellectual.”

We should definitely take a hard look at J-Smoove when his contract runs out. He and Rondo are great pieces going forward!
Jack of all trades, master of none.

sounds good to me, although I don't know if I would call Josh Smith "intellectual" though. Rondo on the other hand I would.

I would like to hear Rondo's thoughts on Josh Smith's horrible shot selection and what he plans to do about it before I could even consider embracing J-Smoove as a Celtic.

Josh Smith referring to his BBIQ as through the roof was entertaining.

Hawks coaching philosiphy is the exacty opposite of the Celtics.

If our players took some of the shots Joe Johnson and Josh Smith take, they would be benched immediately.

Remember Big Baby taking a 3 last year and got immediately benched and yelled at in front of everyone by Doc?

Hawks are terribly coached, all their players have the green light to do anything they want.

You know what they say. Two immature stars on a team are better than one!

Yeah, that was just Rondo trying to make his buddy feel good as Rondo seems waaaaaay smarter than Smith on the court.

Not sure I want Smith in Celtic uniform anymore , there was a time I really did, I may have misjudged him.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
If we got him, he would be forced by Doc to shoot waaaaay less and they'd make him pound in the paint and run transition with Rondo.

I just don't want him here unless it means we get Howard through the idea of a new Big 3 where Howard is the man and Rondo+Smith are his lackies.
Even then, we would need a deadly 2 guard from the perimeter to space because teams would just clog the paint.

Sounds great but in reality I don't know if having Smith as a KG replacement is the best move.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I think we end up seeing Smith in green. His conrtact ends  after next year so we'll have cap space and his best boy Rondo. I really wish we could get him after this season (maybe he makes it clear he won't sign an extension in atl so they try to move him), I think a year of playing with kg would do wonders for j smoove.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
