Honestly, when I saw it I was really surprised it was legal.  But, since it is, game on.

To me, this was a smart move and Wade is trying to get inside Bibby's (and the Knicks) heads.
Right, except it failed spectacularly. It's such a pity that he Knicks are actually a pretty poor team.

Oh you know something we don't do you?
I know that the Knicks got a wide open dunk on the play because Wade was trying to be cute instead of playing defense on the outlet. You should have known that too if you bothered to watch the cut carefully.

But what do I know, I guess that's really a way to "get into someone's head".

If Davis was reffing this game, that'd be a foul...

Yeah...Maybe on Bibby...They're sure as hell not going to call anything on Wade.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Celtics fans are a funny bunch. Kevin Garnett gets away with much worse on a daily basis. ie: His elbows, illegal screens, cheap shots. Why does he do this? To get inside a players head.
Wade hasn't broken any rules.

Just throw it out the way and buy yourself some time.

People on this forum are very one eyed, which is understandable, but if KG did this no one here would blink an eye.
Wade is one of the smartest players in the NBA. If Bibby's shoe is on the court in front of him, he'll make Bibby go get it.
I would hope Pierce would do the same to Wade or Lebron if the situation arose. Get em' nice and angry. There are much worse things than this.

Lol.. You my friend.... are overreacting.  Seems like you took this thread as an opportunity to bash Celticsbloggers... you could go to another site you know.

As for the Wade incident, I'm all for competitive advantages.. Bibby shoulda tied his shoe better, like c'mon that's kindergarten stuff..

And I love everything KG does.  From the elbows, to the cheap shots, to the swearing.. It's all in the name of competition.  And it's not like KG is the only one doing these kind of things..

It's been going on since professional basketball started so.. theres that. Where do u think KG learned it from? The veterans that he used to play against when he was younger.....

I feel this is more an issue of human nature than anything else.. In competition, humans will always try to get an advantage.. If you want to win, thats what its going to take.

Don't see how I'm over reacting in the slightest.
It's like the pot calling the kettle black and it's important that people recognize their bias because many people don't. I don't think what I said was offensive- just an opinion. Doesn't mean you or anyone else has to agree with me.

Going away from your point, do you think we'd be reading this topic if KG did the same thing?

If you want to talk about being biased.. You're being biased towards celticsbloggers by assuming we're all biased.. which is wrong..  If you cared to read how i felt about the Wade shoe tossing, you would see that I am not biased... although I'm a celtics fan.. so yes.. you're overreacting.

I bet you most people on this site are OK with Wade tossing the shoe.. I'm willing to put money on it actually

Yeah, I think every Celtics fan thinks that way.
OK bro.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I've got no problem with Dwayne Wade tossing Mike Bibby's shoe.  A judo take down of Rajon Rondo in the playoffs, on the other hand, that I have a problem with.

Dwayne Wade, you are not forgiven.

You know the line between the NBA and professional wrestling is very thin.

I wonder...I saw the clip and actually thought he saw debris on the court and out of reaction just scooted it out of the way so no one rolled an ankle.

And the line between their respective referees is even thinner.
