  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Finally, we are outright Atlantic leaders.
The 76ers somehow lose to Washington and we are fourth in the East and top of the Atlantic.
The Knicks also lose to Atlanta which is great for our playoff race.

Horrible schedule coming up for us but we are 14-5 since the break. If we keep this up we are most likely paired with Indiana in the first round of the playoffs.

If we can sneak some wins in on this tough 7 game stretch and go 4-3, I think it's very plausible to say that Philly (even with a slightly easier schedule) will do the same.

We have to hope that we can pinch a win from:
*The Bulls without Rose in Chicago OR San Antonio at home (San Antonio more likely win)
*Indiana on the road
*Philly at home for some payback
*Atlanta at home
If we can somehow pull of a win vs Spurs or Miami then we'll go 5-2 which would just be phenomenal for our confidence going into the playoffs.

Biggest problems with the above projections is that:

*The games vs Chicago, Philly and Atlanta are all 2nd legs of back to backs.
*Bulls will have had 3 days off and we will have just played san antonio.

But on a positive note...

*Atlanta will be 2nd leg of b2b for them.
*Philly game will be 2nd leg of b2b for them.
*Indiana game will be 2nd leg of b2b and we will have had 3 days off.

The combined effectiveness of our bench (Bradley, Steimsma, Dooling) and our defense right now makes it plausible to think we could easily go 4 win and 3 losses or even 5 wins and 2 losses as stated earlier.
Having Ray Allen back will be a bonus as well.

Now begins the real test for our team as to how we will look against playoff caliber competition.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Hopefully we will do well. This is a critical time during the season and will set the tone for how well we should do in the playoffs.

Welcome to Amen's corner. Celtics stay even or even separate further further from Philly and New York, this division is ours. NJ has had Philly's number as well. The Celtics have a chance Sunday to show the league that they can still stand up to the best teams in the NBA.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

On track to go 5-2.
Chicago will most likely be a loss given their 3 days off.
But they did get pumped by OKC which could be the start of a little end of season slump (a la Miami Heat as of late).

one down, six to go.
