Even if it would work, there is zero chance of Danny pulling it off.  I am sure Williams could play with another PG.  But he will not CHOOSE to play with another PG.

That was only a good combo because Billups was old and was perfectly suited to play off the ball and just chuck shots up at this stage of his career.

Just in terms of sheer talent, it's an intriguing idea.  While DWill is big and strong for a point guard, though, I'm not sure he'd like the idea of matching up against the top 2 guards in the league.

Diminishing returns playing two floor generals at the same time.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I think Chris is making a pretty good educated guess.  Watch 'Patton' -- a great movie and provides a good metaphor -- those who see themselves as the 'General' usually don't take well to being a co-general.
