Even if we can't win now, we could be worse. And I'm not counting out this team yet. Too much heart, too much toughness, and too much talent. That goes further in the playoffs than depth, speed, or regular season consistency. Those things are great, we just don't have them this year.

There were very few deals out there. I can only think of two significant ones made. There could be opportunities in the buyout market to plug a hole or two. But to be frank, this is a very limited team right now. We ain't going anywhere this year.

It's simple: you get worse now but you collect some assets you can use to be better in the future. There are never guarantees.

I'm honestly getting scared this team doesn't even make the playoffs. Look at their schedule and compare with the Knicks and the Bucks. This team has arguably the weakest bench in the NBA.

To me, what's happening is what actually constitutes sacrificing them (PP, RA, KG). I think that if it wasn't possible to bring in some help to them now to make the supporting cast at least respectable, the right thing to do would be to try to trade them to better teams, even if for expirings and 2nd rounders (and ditto for Pietrus and Bass).
