Anthony Carter waived by Raports. Is a good shooter. Years of experience with Nuggets. What do you think?

If Ainge had moved Dooling at the deadline, Carter would have been a serviceable replacement.

Redundant with Dooling still on the roster.

I want to keep giving Avery minutes anyway so he can continue to develop.

Not sure about that. He's posting an eFG% of 30% on jump shots this season. He's a career 40% shooter.

Pass. He wouldnt really make us any better and if we signed him Im guessing he wouldnt make it off the bench with the players that are in front of him.

no, Bradley should be the backup PG for the rest of the season, he is so dynamic defensively and is starting to learn how to play PG offensively.

He will be a big weapon against Rose and even possibly Wade in the playoffs, he is so strong and quick that I think he could guard wade even though he's a few inches shorter.

He's old and he's never been very good.  Career 25% shooter from deep; only two seasons when he's shot the long ball at more than a 30% clip.  40% overall shooting for his career (and only 32% this year).

And, if you're going to the trouble/expense of freeing up a roster spot, we need big guys!  Avery Bradley (helped out by Ray and Pierce) is doing a credible job handling the backup PG duties.  In an ideal world, we'd have a better Rondo backup but the need is 1000000x greater to get some frontcourt help.

Since when has Anthony Carter EVER been a good shooter...? Nothing against Carter, because he is a nice PERSON to have in your organization, but his on the court contribution is nothing.
