I didn't read the rest of these but I have to ask, if JO is out for the remainder of the season... which seems likely... can't we just amnesty him? That would free up a roster spot.

The window to amnesty players for this season has closed.

No need to amnesty him anyways.  He can be waived to open up a roster spot.

Well yeah, just figured that if they could have the 6 million he's making not count against the cap when waived that'd be nice but they can't so... waive him if he can't come back.

Even if they could, the Celtics would still be way over the cap and could only sign someone to a minimum contract.

In the case of O'Neal....I doubt Wyc can buy tanking insurance.

O'Neal has strong interest in returning to Miami, sources say, but doubtful Boston executes buyout if Danny Ainge thinks that'll happen.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Not sure why Miami would even want him though.

what a lerk and a loser! He does nothing in Boston for a team who desperately needs him, and then wants a buyout to join our enemy? Good riddance!

Why does this surprise anybody except apparently....Danny Ainge?  He'll have a dramatic recovery as soon as he gets bought out.
