It's sounding like Dwight Howard was being pressured by his current agent, Dan Fegan, who reportedly isn't getting paid on Howard's current contract and only gets money when Dwight signs a new deal.  There's a rumor that Fegan may end up getting fired.

Gotta trade Howard now... Why put yourself through another year of what he has already put the franchise through. Say enough is enough and ship him out.

Agree here. Glad he's staying put. But to put the franchise on another year of this fiasco, it isn't worth it. Should be traded now. The Magic should not want another year of this.

Or I would go like this. If I'm the Magic, I'll tell Dwight "look if you wanna stay, sign the extensions. No signature, then we'll trade you today. End of story."

It's a scary thing to think that he'll have much of a control over that team. Magic definitely have to ship him out unless he signs a long term deal. They may not get equal value, but at least they get some and now start moving on and concentrate on building a contending team.

I really like Dwight. He comes of as a decent person and of course he is a game-changer as a player.

BUT: He has made himself look like a clown, here. He is a grown man, supposedly, and he's yanking not only the ORL fanbases chain, but the ORL organization's chain.

They don't deserve it, especially Van Gundy. I consider SVG to be one of the better coaches out there, and DH has thrown him and his team under the bus with these games.

Once this is over, he needs to put his head down, be quiet, and just play his tail off. If he does that, I'm pretty sure the results will be a rather deep playoff run (at least until they play BOS).

Who knows? They could perhaps make it to the finals, with the way they've beaten CHI and MIA as of late (Again-as long as they DON'T play BOS ;))

But DH needs to fly under the radar for a bit after this.

Think he 'll stay another year , they city wants that, the owner wants that, and DH's mother wants that .  He can't win a championship at NJ this year and probally not the Lakers either. If he goes to LA , then he'll have to go though all this all over again , and make another NBA city mad casue he didn't resign. Probally best to hang where he is at for now .

I believe as I have for a long time,  the NETS are going to wind up losing DH and DW'll ...hung out to dry. New building and no stars to put in it ..equals no fans ...equals no money.

If I am Indiana (Roy Hibbert) or Washington (JaVale McGee) and New Orleans (Eric Gordon), I am very worried about the Nets throwing huge money at one or two of those players.
