He realizes he'll be sacrificing a large portion of the fanbase by trading Rondo. Rondo is the franchise at this point.

We are not , I repeat, not getting Dwight Howard. Time to move on from that Mike. And yes, I think Ainge would trade Rondo if he received the right offer.
