Here's a conspiracy theory ... KG appears to dislike playing center and wants to go back to being a natural 4.

But then it dawned on me, of course that's what he'd want us to believe. The idea is that opposing scouts won't prepare for a blockbuster 5, manning the paint.

This is reminiscent of my Fo'Fo'Fo' prediction in '09-'10, when the Celts used a seemingly paltry 50 win season, to obliterate their opponents in the playoffs (sans games 6/7 of the Finals in LA :-[ )

Thus, this entire charade is being orchestrated for another playoff explosion.

Just imagine how good we'd be with KG at center and David West at PF. With Bass and Jeff Green coming off the bench.
Sometimes I feel like god punches the Celtic leprechaun in the face when he wakes up.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

  • You say when......
KG and doc both said that he doesn't like it....in an article in the Herald a while back......besides, IF he liked it, he would have been a center all along....a guy like him could play where ever he wanted too..within reason...! I'd play Bass, KG, and Steamer, Ray an Rondo...switch pp and ray and peitrus...see who works best....! And actually pass to steamer also...!

TP for bringing the Fo'Fo'Fo'

But I believe KG is better at the 4. I'd love to get a "big" big who could contribute, but those are very hard to find.

If Danny can get a C who inspires some respect to opponents when they think about driving to the basket, we'll look a lot better. I'm sick of watching Rose or Irving get easy baskets.
