This may be a slight pipe dream but is there anyway we can land Jordan.?? With his minutes being cut by the Clippers and the possible Dwight & CP3 connection, could we swing a 3 team deal with Allen & JO's expiring contracts..

Watching the Cs get absolutely crushed by the Sixers has be leaning toward blowing this team up in the next 7 days, getting whatever we can in terms of young rookie-deal assets and expiring contracts for anyone on the Cs roster except for Rondo.

I'm confident that Danny will have some trades in his back pocket and if he doesn't feel he can add a big to this team to shore up the pathetic paint and rebounding play he will pull the trigger at the last minute as he did last year with the idiotic Perkins trade.

Has a gm ever blown up a team when they've been 2 games back in the division lead at this point in the season?

I've just never heard of a forfeit job like that

Well, this GM essentially announced he was going to blow up the team in the middle of a playoff series, so I don't think he is afraid of something like that.

As far as this particular situation, there haven't been many similar situations to compare it to.

But I wouldn't worry too much, because I doubt Danny is going to get the offers he needs to pull the trigger on blowing anything up.

I think he's talking during the original Walker era.

why not?  Danny has said they're not a contender, and it's safe to assume he's not interested in keeping the team together just so they can make the playoffs.

Exactly.  Danny is not afraid to blow something up, when he does not see them as a real championship contender.

Although, I should clarify that I also think Danny has learned a lot about the value of cap flexibility since the Walker trade, which will make him much less likely to pull the trigger on a similar trade.  But, Danny is not going to be fooled by the team hanging into a race for the 4th seed...particularly when his team has a MUCH harder second half schedule.

There's no way the Clips part with Jordan.  He's a huge part of their future.  They're a lot better team when he's playing more than 30 mpg. (11-5 when Jordan's +30mpg, 11-10 when -30mpg)

Stats like that are soo pointless

I best I can find #s that say that the celtics are like 10-1 when player x plays under x many minues

correlation does not imply causation
