On the front page there's an article about UBUNTU and how the vets haven't had "the talk" with the new guys.  I think Danny's trigger finger and the upcoming deadline has greatly attributed to the teams bad start.  They can't have a team meeting and preach togetherness and then the next day Ray Allen gets traded for Drew Bledsoe and a 3rd round pick or whatever.

We have more than a puncher's chance this year.  Last night was sloppy but you could feel something brewing.  Paul Pierce is dialed in, clapping like a mad man, getting the crowd into it... even when he put his arm around Rondo after he missed the layup... this was a captain righting the ship.

If we add some small parts and make one more run I bet when the deadline's over this team comes together times 10.

I agree, and TP for this quote:  "Ray Allen gets traded for Drew Bledsoe and a 3rd round pick or whatever."
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

When they beat a contender I might start to believe they have more than a puncher's chance. The 5-game winning streak is nice. The tough part of the season begins tonight.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
You're right that they won't talk about Ubuntu until the trade deadline is over.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what we get for Ray or KG or Pierce. Beasley is the only one who can make us a better team, but he won't make us good enough to beat the Bulls and Heat.

We'll go down fighting, it's my opinion that we just can't sustain the level needed to beat the top teams over a 7 game series.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
