pg- rondo (can you imagine his assist numbers with a running group?)
sg pierce-he's a trailing 3 pt threat if not in fast break right away
sf green
pf josh smith (from ray allen & bass trade)
c dwight howard (free agent signing)

I might be wrong but if we trade for josh smith then I believe we only have 11 million in available cap room. We would have to amnesty pierce in order to sign Howard.

I wasn't sure on that.  Good thing you didn't see my bench with KG & Pietrus  :D

Rondo
Allen (Fa)
Pierce
Jsmith (KG trade)
Howard (Fa)

6th man Green (resign)
7th Pietrus (Re)
8th Bass (Re)
9th Bradley (Re)
10th Wilcox (Re)

Love it.

I like it but I don't love it because I'd like KG resigned cheap next year and coming off the bench.

Howard's obviously the best available piece at center.  Assuming KG & Ray retire/move on, sign JR Smith and Kirilenko to fill the starting 2 and 4 spots.  Draft some athletes for the bench with the two picks.  Sign Boris Diaw for the bench.

Rondo/Smith/Pierce/Kirilenko/Howard... Pierce would be the resident slow-poke but that's a darn good running team.
