He's an RFA and unfortunately Portland is way under the cap, so is likely to match any offer. This kid is playing out of his mind though and his shooting numbers are approaching the 50/40/90 holy grail. Add in the fact that he gets all-defensive team votes (though Blazers fans will say he's up and down on D) blocks shots, gets steals and he's a seriously well rounded player. Insane athlete. Just turned 23. Could this guy be the 3rd best player on a championship team in a few years? If he continues to develop at this rate, he stands a good chance.

I understand he's peeved with Portland for not extending him this year, so maybe that opens the door a bit. Combing through the list of FAs, this guy jumps out as a guy who HAS A CHANCE to be a top player on a title contender in a few years.

He's been a back-and-worth binky of anyone with league pass for a while.

I think its a moot point. Nobody will (or should) give him 8-10 million per, which I think Portland runs away from, but anything less than that Portland will match.

Honestly I think sooner or later you're gonna see Portland ship out Crash Wallace for picks and an expiring, especially if Portland continues to struggle.

I've heard that along with Aldridge, Batum is the only guy they won't move.

I'd consider offering him 8-10 if it was for only 2/3 years.

Wallace would look really nice in green.

If we had a healthy gerald wallace without giving up a key piece, I would give the Celtics a chance against Miami. Still would be a big or 2 short against the Bulls though.
