In all the trade talk we have to look at what the need is.

A center. There are two real candidates. Chris kaman and Demarcus cousins. Both are a stretch but I believe kaman is more realistic.

He would help solve the problem of having a rebounding scoring center.

The only other player I covet is rudy gay. Again as a scoring wing he brings the skillet of scoring, rebounding, and passing that Paul Pierce had and has in spurts from time to time.

Now we know the need how do we get

Rondo
Pietrus
Gay
Kaman
Garnett

By trading jermaines corpse, ray, pierce, bass and picks?

This doesn't work in the NBA if you're looking for a title.

You need big stars who play big with a solid bench.

Danny has to try to acquire superstars, whether that's this year or not everything should be geared toward that. Just depends whether he wants to attract them (them being DH and/or DW) with pieces or keep all his picks in hopes of trading assets for stars in the next year or two (A-la Ray and KG)
