First of all Gordon is a restricted FA (http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2012/02/201213-nba-restricted-free-agents.html) and not an FA  so NO can match any deal and most everyone think they will match.  So you'd never have NO trade him. Plus I've never heard Gordon say he wouldn't resign with them.

I thought Eric Gordon said he was open to staying in New Orleans.

Yes he did in numerous interviews...

This might be the most lopsided trade idea I've ever seen here, and that's a serious accomplishment. New Orleans would be contracted upon completion of the deal.

Really?

Celtics give up Rondo, Ray and a 1st?

To Utah... New Orleans gives up one of the most promising players in the game for a pick in the middle of the first round. It's lopsided in the sense that New Orleans gets bent over a table. Even if it could be guaranteed that Gordon wouldn't re-sign, is it really fair to say the best they could get is Boston's pick?
