basketball-reference.com recently added a "shot finder", where you can look up any player's or team's performance by shot type, including shot distance, time left in the quarter, etc., etc.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/plus/shot_finder.cgiThis is a tremendous tool. For instance, are you curious about how the Celtics shoot when the score is within 5 points in the fourth quarter or OT?
http://bkref.com/tiny/DLm4zKG has taken the most shots (20) and is tied for the lead in makes (6) with Ray and Pierce. Ray's got three three-pointers in such situations this year; Pierce has two. Our worst shooter in such situations? Rondo, at 1-for-7.
It's cool stuff. Want to look up who is best at shooting jumpers from 15-feet out? Bass shoots the highest FG% (.504) and Ray has the best eFG% (.612); Rondo is shooting 37.9%, which is actually better than Pierce (36.4%), although Pierce is more efficient (.476 eFG% for Pierce vs. .405 eFG% for Rondo).
