To me Rondo is not a superstar or a franchise player, he's a great player but is very irregular.

Would not surprise me that Rondo is elected by Ainge before trade deadline. When Rondo was injured, the team played well, the problem with Rondo is that I see him very passive, unmotivated, do not understand.

In addition, With 8 seconds or so left on the shot clock. A pass. A double team. A desperation shot or an errant pass to someone who WAS or WAS unprepared and Covered Himself up a desperation shot Launching Himself.(Totally agree with a previous comment).

I do not understand Rondo, expects a lot and finally he did not know what to do when 10 seconds remaining on the clock, he does this over and over again in every game, it is incomprehensible, KG, Pierce and Ray are better choices than Rondo to score,Doc should know this.

If we could get something important for Rondo, I would think his trade, I think we can still do something big, not this year maybe, but next year if Ray and KG continue for less money (not that will happen), there will be money for free agency.

Ainge should think about Rondo, I think with the team we have, even the Big Three is old, if we get good players can do something great, Steve Nash,a center ... pieces that help the Big Three.

I think Ainge knows that this team can still compete, but to do something, maybe Rondo is the solution.

Play with the Big Three is very easy (with three hall of fame), I would like to see Rondo without these players.
Any point guard plays well with the Big Three, Jennings, Wall ....

Rondo not know shoot baskets and misses many free throws, this can not be, sorry.

I like the way he structures his sentences. Its...poetic.

I don't agree that he's only good because of the big three. The first few games of the season, Rondo carried us with (basically) Rayray and Brandon Bass.

He is, however, erratic. I'll give you that.

If we trade him, we don't do it for another point guard. We'd be giving more than what we get and not actually improving much. Get a center like DeMarcus Cousins or Brook Lopez, both while being risky investments will push us over the edge (with just a little rebounding and scoring in the middle, this team is contending).

i would trade the guy who is 34 and shooting 400 from the field, and probably can no longer get to the hoop

How many of those games did we win?

Don't you want to start with a building block when u rebuild? I don't get this trading rondo for a less established player...rondo isn't going to the promised land alone..but no one is..I like starting out with an allstar pg

Ainge is a business man.  Talent/$ Rondo is the best non-rookie deal.  He is earning 50% of Rose, Westbrook, Paul etc.  You only trade that for lottery picks/promising rookies.  Picks are a gamble... even if you draft high you can wind up like the Wizards.  No way Celtics are paying Doc 7 Mil a year to build up to Washington Wizards status.  Besides Rondo sells merchandise.  He's handsome, intelligent, charismatic, funny, supremely talented and plays with heart for his team.  It's so ironic that fans are complaining that stars don't want to play in Boston, and want to trade the one that really wants to be here.  Cherish him now and hope that he stays here forever and become a Celtic legend.
