doc needs to find a way to put together a running unit or rotation...rondo, bradley, wilcox, jj and mp...bring dooling in with the starters to give rondo some rest...

The problem with running a lineup like that out there is that it's going to get killed trying to play halfcourt offense.

I'd rather see Doc mix in some of the more athletic guys with the vets.  Get JJ time out there with Rondo and KG, for instance.  I think having Wilcox with the starters will be a nice start.

A running unit should be built around the idea of Rondo gambling more than usual to force turnovers that start fast breaks.

agreed, if we control the defensive boards we can run, no reason to put all the young guys out there
i like kg playing like a madman for his controlled minutes and then taking a breather
great job by wilcox beating noah down the floor as well

Pretty obvious Wilcox ,now that he healty and familar with the C's , needs to start.  He can actually jump and run.!!

Thats the only way I see JO surviving the remander of the season.

JJ needs to play bunch of minutes, he gets better each game , his energy inspires the others , and Rondo too.

We are going to needs a heatlhy Bass to make anykind of push .  Let Pietrus play more till Bass gets well.

Wilcox should definitely definitely be the starter and he will now with Bass and JON out. Doc will probably finally get it right despite himself

To be fair, WIlcox has been getting minutes since he has been healthy.

It is all about the combination of players though...Doc found something with Wilcox and Rondo.

I have also been very surprised with Wilcox's activity on the boards and on defense.

I agree that the more we move, the better we are and we have done quite a bit of it with the geezers on the floor. Its when you get the geezers standing around we seem to have big problems. So what if they have to come out for a blow periodically. Those fresh legs and young bodies replacing them keep the tempo up if not make it even faster.

When we get out running in transition we often appear dangerous. We get to the rim and we find open men to shoot jumpers. We do it half the time now with great success.

That's why these old lazy 4th quarters with set offensive plays and guys standing around late in games kill me. It always takes all the momentum right out of us.

If these geezers only got 1 good year left, I'd run them all and keep the fresh legs coming in until we can't do it anymore. I swear its when we look our best.

I want to see more pick and roll.  KG and Bass always seem to pop.  Wilcox seems like a decent roller off the high pick, though.  I'd love to see J.O. get more pick and roll plays, as well.

One thing I noticed last night that I liked was that Doc would have Ray bring the ball up and get it to Paul or Rondo coming off a screen which seemed to put them in better positions to make plays and made for a less stagnant offense.

We have exactly 4 out of 15 players in their mid 30's.

But those 4 are in our top 6 in minutes played.

Paul and Ray both played 35+ minutes yesterday. We don't need 4 people to run the court with Rondo, just 1-2.
