Rondo's 'let the ball roll' time saving strategy is the closest thing to Curling I have seen on a basketball court!  :)

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

He obviously didn't invent it, but he definitely does it effectively. With only 10 seconds left on the clock, he used up zero seconds getting to the three point line on the Celtics side of the court...excellent and efficient usage of the clock.

I'd take the 32 pts over the amazing ball roll any day. But it is beautiful.

Yeah, I can only remember one time which he lost it.  Out of hundreds.  It really gives him a huge advantage if he can get the guy to bend over and reach for it.

His longsnapping isn't bad either

Nice...

I maintain my assertion that Rondo would make an excellent football player, but I think as a qb more than a longsnapper (he would probably be a pretty darn good receiver, too) :0)

It isn't to give him an advantage if the guy goes for it.  The clock doesn't start until a player touches it.  It gives us time.
