Love Ray!

But outside of Rondo, I believe he is the best "chip" to move to get something in return.

Ray would make a possible contender/playoff team better, instantly.

Ray on the Clippers to replace Chauncey would make them better than they are now.  Throw in "tha Steama" if you have to offset the loss of a center.

Rondo and Jordan would be a great way to start rebuilding for the future.  It would be Boston's version of lob city.  He plays defense, rebounds, runs the floor, obviously athletic.  Perfect fit for Rondo.  Next year, sign Eric Gordon and you have a very good transition into the next decade.

And Clippers agree on this trade because they have 10 quality centers who can fill in the position at any time.
The idea of trading a legend for a semi-average kid who dunks because everyone pays attention to Griffin is like saying McGee is the best point guard in the world.

Lolwut? 10 quality centers? Name these so-called 10 quality centers. And after that sentence I got totally lost.

This trade proposal might be the most hilarious one I've seen so far. Props to you, sir.

Celtics have a better chance getting DJ by kidnapping and disgusing him as Robert Parrish.

Geeze, put down the liquor.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I don't see no reason why the Clippers will do this. They're giving up their young interior defensive man for an old shooter.

Man, if Reggie Evans grows about 3 more inches and gets 4 years younger they might.

Wow, too funny! TP

But seriously, what's wrong with having a dream?
If, the Clippers still had Kaman, trading Ray to them and their draft choice back might have worked.
Till then we can always dream,,,and make humorous responses.

Still doesn't change the fact that Boston needs inside help and the Clippers need a shooter!

The Clippers laugh for 5 days straight and then hang up the phone.
4 days straight

It's especially funny because lack of big-man depth is easily the biggest flaw with our team.  This guy clearly knows nothing about the Clippers and just wants one of our young stars.

As a lifelong Clippers fan... you can't be serious.  Even Laker fans come up with less ridiculous trade ideas than that.

We just signed DeAndre to a massive contract this offseason AND shipped Kaman out of town.  He is here for the long haul.  And we certainly would not part with him for an aging Ray Allen and Greg Steimsma.

Granted, I'd love to have Ray Allen on the team, but for a more realistic price than DJ.

You clearly don't know the Golden Rule: Celtics players are just way more valuable than players on other teams. For instance, Blake Griffin is roughly as valuable as Avery Bradley. :)

If we had someone to back up Pietrus would almost make sense. The fact that Marquis is playing so poorly does not help
.

Reminder to everybody:  It's fine to disagree with somebody's trade idea, but please do so respectfully and consistently with our rules.

At this point, discussion of this idea has devolved to the point where the thread doesn't serve a very productive purpose.  Locked.
