Pierce avg 8.7ast 4games without Rondo. The difference between Paul and Rajon, Paul is dual threat with the ball. He is as dangerous scoring the ball as he is passing it. Rondo is more of one trick pony who hurts the team offensively than he helps it.

In Conclusion, GIVE PIERCE THE BALL!!!

Pierce HAS to play with the second unit and basically run the show. A Moore/Bradley, Pietrus/Dooling, Pierce, Bass, Wilcox group plays very well off of each other. I wouldn't mind seeing Quis or Pietrus play more with the 1s where they can either create (Quis) or shoot (Pietrus) to give him a rest and Pierce playing with the bench.

I agree with this 100%. A team oriented offense where the ball is constantly moving is WAY better than Rondo just racking up tons of assists. That's how they won in '08, the Rondo lead (lack of passing) offense is what cost them in the end of Game 7.

Celtics are the best when the WHOLE TEAM is racking up assists from moving the ball back and forth with constant movement and passing.

Hell I'd argue that Pierce is the better playmaker anyways, his passes aren't as crisp, pretty, or accurate, but when he drives to the basket the defense actually has to respect it.

Also, in fairness to Doc and Rondo, we were seeing more of this earlier in the year when Pierce first got back.

Rondo's is extremely important regardless because of his transition play making.

If anything the play maker role has to be 50/50 Rondo and Pierce.

i understand completeley ,but the thing is while a whole team is moving the ball at some point wat happens when rondo gets the ball at the end of the shotclock? a miss..which would happen ALOT

where im going with this ..is this is the new direction of the offence rondo is expendable ..& must be traded for wing help it only makes sence

but i have the feeling when ray & rondo come back we'll see pretty much the same team rondo walking the ball running LONG sets & having kg or paul forcing a bad shot which will result to more losses for this celtic team

i really hope DA is evaluating this closely

I beg to differ.

Off the ball Rondo hurts the floor spacing, and he isn't a a threat to score with the ball. Quite frankly, I think Rondo is expandable.

If Celtics can swing a trade for Stephen Curry, its a no brainer. Compare that with what E'twaun Moore offers shooting the ball. Curry fits the Celtics need like a glove. Deadly outside shooter with Point Guard skill-set. Not sure if Warrior do it though

I'll hold judgement until I see Rondo with this new life, renewed energy Celtic team if you will. We have finally woke up right as Rondo went down, if him and Ray can come back and we can all click and not miss a beat look out.

I feel better turnover wise with the ball in his hands than Rondo. He is a tuff little dude.

and the rondo lead offense is also what got them to the nba finals in 2010.

you cant just blame rondo for every bad thing that ever happened. Rondo has brought more good than bad.

I really disagree with this.  I think people are taking this awesome win the wrong way with Rondo.  Rondo could definitely have helped facilitated some of the same moves Pierce was doing as the floor general.

What this team needs is both a healthy Pierce and Rondo.  When Rondo was healthy Pierce was out of shape, and when Pierce finally got in shape Rondo wasn't playing.

I am excited to see Rondo and Pierce back together again, which has brought us so much success in the past.
