I watched JJJ play a lot in college and he really reminds of Warrick with better shooting range.  I think JJJ will be a better defender though.  With the way our offense is sputtering, I would start JJJ alongside Garnett, as we need to get more athletic.  I don't know about everyone else, but I'd rather see JJJ's baseline jumpshot over JO's awkward hitch release.

One also can't tell me that JJJ couldn't grab 5 boards in 22 minutes.  I'm also really tired of hearing about how our rookies are garbage.  Johnson and Moore are both ready to contribute -- they just need the opportunity.  If the Knicks can start Shumpert, the Rockets can start Parsons, and Norris Cole can crack Miami's rotation, then Johnson should be able to get some burn, imho.  He was almost a 20-10 guy last year at Purdue and won the defensive player of the year.

JaJuan is a superior athlete to Warrick I think.

We've seen Moore play.  He's a long way from "ready to contribute"....looks a lot better than Bradley did last year tho

I think Moore can play a solid 10-12 minutes a night, hit the occasional 3, and run the team.

You might be right about that.  Warrick was freaky athletic when he first came into the league though.

I agree with the comparison, warrick averaged 4pts 2rb in ten min as a rookie. Then 12pts 5rb in second season, lets hope for the same production.

Good comparison. We need to give JaJuan more playing time instead of Wilcox. We need youth and speed and giving more time to Johnson and Moore might help us.

If we're going to struggle a bit until it comes together, I don't think it's a terrible idea to try out some more athletic running lineups to start with Rondo.  Doc can mix and match as the game goes on.  It's not like starters HAVE to play 36 minutes.

Rondo/Drooling
Ray/Q/Moore
Pie/Pierce
J3/Bass
KG/JO

Can you imagine?  We wouldn't be a slow team any more with those combinations.  Pietrus is a legit starter, and Pierce wouldn't even be a lock for 6th man (with JT and Odom out there, among others), so let's not get all uppity about insulting him by bringing him off the bench, especially since he's not in shape.  There's no room for ego on this team.

Those subs wouldn't play together much.  Doc would have to sub guys in and out (like he is this season and did during the Ricky Davis Error) to keep a solid, athletic lineup on the floor.

We'd be a matchup nightmare.   Again.
