This is not new, I think Ainge should think his move, Big Al would be the ideal signing for the Celtics.
Big Al could leave Utah and Boston should be his destiny, he is an all star player and is very talented.

I want the return of Big Al, he's one of my favorite players along with KG, RA, PP, AI, TD.

Do you want the return of Big Al?

And how do you propose Ainge go about acquiring Jefferson.  With magic fairy dust.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Well, when they have cap space, I am sure Utah will give him away for a late second round pick and a trade exception.  And that should tell you how valuable he really is.

While I love watching him in the post, Al Jefferson at $14 or 15 million per year is a killer, because he is such a defensive liability and injury risk.

Ain't happening...been there, done that.  Every team he is one sucks and he isn't good enough to bring them up.

I would not want to acquire a player who makes as much as Jefferson unless I believed he would (or should) be a multi-time All-Star over the next five years (or if I were rebuilding and taking on a big contract to get an asset the way the Cavs absorbed Baron Davis to get a good draft pick from the Clippers).

Make the case that Jefferson is an All-Star caliber player.

Please no, this topic really needed yet another thread? Big Al cannot play defense that well, this is why he wouldn't fit here anymore. Please let this die

It has to die anyways! Unless they take back only Jermaine contract maybe Bass, Bradley & our busted JJ & a 1st and money filler from Boston it can't happen. And do you think that package is enough for Utah? Idk! They would really have to be sour on Jefferson.

sounds good to me.

ainge keeps all the draft picks and young players, not to mention keeping the core players in tact.  ;)

by the way, has jefferson learned to play defense yet?
