Unfortunately I had to miss the game (blasphemy, I know). I saw Rondo's FTM/FTA, which was 9/12 (which is 75%). He also shot 3/6 jump shots from the play-by-play but had 2 blocked by the same guy, Tyson Chandler. Could he take more? How'd it look?

Wilcox got 14 minutes. KG and Allen both have 37. Could Doc have played the bench more? What's promising though is Bass and Quisey both got sixth man minutes. Certainly the addition of Pierce and Pietrus would help immensely. But is Doc's distrust in the bench a problem yet again? (My main concern being Wilcox, who was quite efficient from the looks of it. He should have and could have had more minutes). Towards the end I think KG, Rayray and Rondo were probably exhausted and they are our main offensive weapons.

NB: Changed topic from Rondo's jumper to two questions since...well...I had another question.

Doc was the problem tonight and if someone knows different, tell me what the problem was... we had them beat w/o PP!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Wilcox will get more playing time - this was a playoff-esque game that would've been huge for momentum (and destructive for NYC to lose without Pierce), I wouldn't expect KG to log 37 on a nightly basis. Expect him to play 8-9 minutes less than that and Wilcox to play 8-9 minutes more.

I thought Wilcox was pretty efficient and active when he was in the game, so I don't think it was anything other than going for the gold. We might see more of the same against the Heat, but it'll settle down with the Hornets/Pistons/Wizards stretch.

the two main problems (if you exclude the refs and no Pierce) was that Daniels could not guard Melo down the stretch, and the celtics couldn't get any variety in their offense down the stretch. They ran it to KG about 5 plays in a row when Douglas switched on him on the pick and role and KG didn't capitalize. The spacing on those plays was poor as well, Rondo was too close to KG when he was in the post.

Rondo was great though, he took it to the basket all night (except the last 2 minutes, and his jumper and FT's looked very good. I think Wilcox just couldn't hang with the Knicks front court enough on defense to play more minutes.

Wilcox was pretty bad I thought. In the sense that he seems to be regressing every time I see him in a Celtics uniform. But hopefully everything will get straightened out.

The only series of events I really remember was when he got two offensive rebounds in a possession and then the next time down the floor hit a nice hook shot in the lane. I don't remember seeing much of him other than those few plays so that might be clouding my judgment, but I didn't see anything glaringly bad.

He did pass the ball directly to the Knicks after grabbing a rebound.

Also true, but I think the energy, rebounding and efficiency is more of an indication of what we can expect than handing it off to the Knicks by accident. Terrible play, but it happens, wouldn't read too much into it.

it WAS a terrible play.  pretty much got pulled after that and didn't see much of him afterwards.

As for Rondo, he was aggressive on offense like many here have wished for.  Paul Schmaul--Rondo played like the top point guard he can be.
