#Celtics Mickael Pietrus likely won't see any action for another 10 days or so, according to Doc Rivers.

Quote
Pietrus' right knee is getting stronger; rehab is going well. #Celtics being overly cautious not to bring him back too soon.

I don't want anyone on this team, really, playing in a game unless they're close or at 100% before the playoffs. It's just not worth it. Glad to hear Pietrus is doing well though.

The injuries are getting worse with every season. Now we're even signing injured guys. I mean, it's like he hasn't even played a game but is already injured!

well, when you're over the cap and you want to sign talented guys you have to get guys with Injury history or other issues that make them less desireable to other teams.

but at least it sounds like Pietrus will be alright and just needs some time to get his knee stronger

His injury is why he's available, the Raptors would have him right now if it weren't for his knee issue.

I know its a shortened season, but its still 66 games so there is time. Getting a guy of his ability for the minimum is a huge boon for the C's.

well, since we are signing everybody we can with injuries, might as well have kept Perkins.

Because a 35+ million dollar contract over multiple years is the same thing as signing a player to a one year minimum contract.

Who in the hell did Red and Russell sacrifice on an altar to give us this horrible luck?
Signed to a 6 year $0 contract with the Celtics Blog forum!

Fine by me. Get healthy now. Will still have ~50 games to get into shape, get his rhythm and chemistry, and become a nice piece off the bench in the playoffs. I could see him in a Posey-esque role.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
