Jeff Green's out for the season and now, Paul Pierce is injured! And who's starting at SF? SASHA PAVLOVIC! Really? Really? If we're serious about this season, we have to get a quality SF, and one player I have in mind is the Wolves' Michael Beasley! He's my fave college player before and I'm disappointed with what has happened with his career.. He's a total nutcase but you just can't deny his talent .. a 6'9 forward who Can match up with strong PFs and quick SFs and can light it up when he wants to - just what we need! We have enough vets here to straighten him up and if he doesn't work out, he has an expiring contract so we don't have to worry about that. So, should we take a flyer on Beasley?

Contrary to popular opinion, the Timberwolves are NOT a D-leaue team.  You can't just call up their players.

All true but Beasley is one of those players i'd personally LOVE to gamble on. It'd be fun just watching if he would get his act together under Doc and the gang.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He will be on the market mid season- in fact he's probably on the market right now.
The Wolves will clear him to let Williams play with Love.

He could be had for a bargain. If Moore steps up and looks good this season (very unlikely), Danny might try and swing some kind of play.

Or Danny could trade the rights to Jeff Green + another piece and they'd take it.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

OMG!  Here I am having a full fledged anxiety attack because my wife just asked me for more money for Xmas; I am devouring a bowl of lucky charms, slopping down each spoonful, and I almost choked laughing so hard at this comment.  Hysterical!
How many TP's can I give it! This may be the comment of the year!

This thread kind of went of the rails, so it's locked.

If you want to start a new thread proposing a trade idea for Beasley, explaining how you'd like to see us acquire him, please do so.

Locked.
