Could we trade Sasha and Bradley straight up for Anthony Randolph ?

He is wasting away in Minnesota and he is still only 22. He has genuine length, 6ft11 and is a very very talented player who can spell real depth of the bench playing minutes backing up KG.

Seriously, that kid is nasty and Minnesota cant think of any way to use him but as a back up. I've wanted him on the celtics since last year.

he's a perpetual "potential" guy.  he's been on a couple teams already thin at his position and yet he's been unable to stick.  i'll pass on randolph.

If for some reason Minny bit at that trade (e.g.: they thought they needed another PG), I'd do it in a heartbeat. But in reality, the Cs would need to sweeten it a bit, like with a 2nd rounder. Thing is, I really like what Danny does in the 2nd round of the draft...
Celtics fan for life.

He is 22 years old, and has genuine talent and physical attributes.

So many of these kids simply need a world class organisation to settle down into.

The Celtics is. Neither the Timberwolves or the Knicks, or the Warriors have the tools to settle a kid who needs extra work.

I'd do Sasha, Bradley and a pick for Randolph.  He is potentially a great player waiting to burst out. And 22 years old...there is redemption.

If they would do it, I would go for it.  He already is a better player than Sasha or Bradley will ever be.  His 11.7 PPG and 5.2 RPG are superior to either of theirs last year.  Still I wonder if he and JJJ are not cut from the same cloth.  Both are 6-10 ish and like playing from the forward slot and both are slim guys.

I doubt they would take the deal though.

this may be true, but this is not a year when Doc is going to be inclined to play a guy through his learning process.  that's what AR needs -- to be put in a situation where he'll get a lot of minutes even when he's making mistakes.  in theory he's been in 3 situations like that already, but nelson and d'antoni are a little bit unforgiving as coaches and the t-wolves have a complete logjam of frontcourt tweeners.
