He must improve his defense?
He has a scorer's mentality?
He needs a better understanding of the game?

lol

The overall 91 earned him the overall of 61 in the NBA 2007.

>>>Edit Players>>>Boston Celtics>>>Rajon Rondo: Field goals - 99.

I think the comparison to Mookie Blaylock turned out to be pretty good though.

Actually, overall I think the 91 rating they gave him seems pretty fair (as long as you look at it as a rating for NBA entrants and not NBA veterans).

10 out of 10 in Athleticism   - Probably a little high, not the leaper others his size are.  I think this should have been an 8.
8 out of 10 in Size – Not bad size for a PG, but a lot of PG’s are bigger (both height and weight), I think this should have been a 6 or 7.
9 out of 10 in Defense - Fair
6 out of 10 in Strength - Fair
10 out of 10 in Quickness - Fair
6 out of 10 in Leadership - Fair
5 out of 10 in Jump Shot - Fair
6 out of 10 in NBA Ready - Fair
8 out of 10 in Ball Handling - Fair
9 out of 10 in Potential - Fair
7 out of 10 in Passing - Fair
7 out of 10 in Intangibles – Fair

The written review might be a little off, but it was dated 1/1/04, Rondo was in the middle of his Senior year of high school then.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I believe I saw articles with idea that
Rondo is the guy with the biggest progress from 2004 Draft. And he absolutely was not in best-rookies-of-the-year group.

Rondo's defense, ball-handling and passing were 10/10 in high school. There's a reason Kentucky recruited him.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Well if you want to take those ratings to mean how suited he is for the college game, then I'd agree with you.  But I think nbaraft.net is focusing on how suited somebody is for the NBA game (compared to other potential NBA rookies, not to NBA veterans).

I was speaking in NBA terms.  Rondo was already an elite ball-handler/passer in high school.  That's always been the foundation of his value as a player.
