Oooh.  Bold call, I like it.  I don't see how it could be any team but the Nets though...

Do the Mavs have the cap space to sign him?

Im actually going to say he has a change of heart and ends up staying in Orlando.

Even after they just commited 4 years and 28 mil to big baby? ;D

I actually think this is a strong possibility as well but man...that organization signs some questionable contracts...

If he wants to win enough to bail on Orlando's superior money offer, Rondo + Pierce + potentially KG and Ray on short-term deals is as good a situation as currently exists.  A great PG to get him the  ball, a do-everything wing to take some scoring pressure off, a couple of high-quality vet role players and no long-term deadweight on the roster.

So yes, I'm calling that he joins the C's.

Not very bold, but my money is on New Jersey.  Didn't he meet with Prokhorov recently?  Why meet if there's not interest?  Stud point guard in place, owner willing to spend a lot of money on a winner...

It's pretty disgusting how easily I can visualize him in purple and gold though.

If he makes it to free agency, I think the Mavericks are a solid possibility.

But Orlando isn't that stupid.  Dwight will get traded to the Nets, it's just a matter of time.

I think LA will trade Gasol and Bynum for him eventually. I am calling Lakers.

I'd say that after we end up trading rondo this next offseason for Eric Gordon, we then use the 35 million or so of capspace to split between Dwight and Derron. So Here.

I'd be completely down for that trade...Franchise guard.

Anything but this.  Can the Lakers go ONE basketball generation without a megastar?   Celtics went 15 years without anyone near the top 10.  Lakers go from Wilt/West to Kareem/Magic to Shaq/Kobe to Kobe/Pau.

Every other franchise is less fortunate than the C's and LA, but many franchises have never really had a top-5 player, never mind constantly having the most dominant player or players of the era.  Boston will likely go through another drought soon -- but not LA.

I honestly think if Howard makes it to free agency next off season, Danny will probably kidnap him and not let him go until he sign with us. I have a feeling Danny will go HARD at him and not take no for an answer. And he should.

He is a sweet talker and I don't have any doubt un my mind that he could convince him that this is the best place for him.
