According to Chris Mannix's twitter:

Chris Mannix: Despite rumors, Rajon Rondo is not down on playing in Boston next season, sources say. Understands the business, handling it well. Twitter

This is good to hear and as I expected.  If anything, I hope all of this motivates Rondo whether he gets traded or not.

This shouldn't be surprising.  This isn't anything new to Rondo, and its not like the rumors are the C's are trading him for garbage.  He is the centerpiece of an offer for a top 5-10 player in the league.

In the past, Rondo has used things like this to fuel his desire to compete and prove everyone wrong, and I would be surprised if this does not work out the same way.

That is one reason I kind of hope if the trade does go through he doesn't end up in Indy, or anyplace else in the East.  Because he will play harder against the C's (and Chris Paul, who has already been his biggest nemesis) than any other team in the league.

i think there are more pressing issues on this team than having to deal your 2 time all star PG...feel like danny is just wasting time chasing paul when he should be trying to resign green, S and T baby and construct a bench that will actually contribute this season

Do you really think he is not doing that?  I am sure that the Rondo talks are not taking 24 hours a day.  They are simultaneously working on filling out the bench, and dealing with their other players, while they also explore this trade (among others).  Danny is a smart guy.  He can multitask.
