Clippers management has assured Eric Gordon that he will not be included in any trade package for Chris Paul, league source tells Y!

There were also reports earlier that GSW coach and gm told Curry he won't be traded for Paul either so I guess the packages look like this

LAC : Bledsoe, Aminu, Kaman, minny 1st rd pick

GSW: Ellis, Udoh, Clay

Bos: Rondo, Green, Bradley, 2 1st's (probably as part of three way deal)

The c's clearly have the best package IMO, but it has been reported that the Hornets really wants that Minny pick that the clippers own so we shall see...

If Gordon and Curry truly aren't being dealt, then I'm not sure how the Hornets could pass on Rondo.  That Minnesota pick could be gold, or it could easily fall to 6th to 8th in the draft.  Rondo is simply better than that.

Doc and Ainge told Rondo the same thing...just trying to keep things calm in case it falls through.

Is everybody forgetting about LA you know the other team, where supposedly they're open to trading anyone not named Kobe?

I think this has a very good chance of happening for the c's they clearly have the best package of players and pick being offered

I am trying to not get my hopes to high, but I have a good feeling

I agree. I was getting semi-depressed with all these Sam Amick rumors about us falling into last place but I think this is good news.

I have to think Danny is trying to get something else besides Paul back in a three team deal since we need depth just about everywhere.

I've got a feeling this is gunna happen. Clippers are falling out same with GSW, which leaves us. We have an all-star pg and other young pieces. Looks like cp3 may be in green.. I'm saying this the frame work of the deal gets done tomorrow, and gets completed on friday. Hope some great new news comes tomorrow cause i am off!

agreed.

i think the hornets are just trying to push other teams to offer them something better at this point before they accept what the celtics have offered.  the celtics are the only team who have offered a young, talented player on a long term deal for good money.  other teams havent been willing to give up major assets without assurance that paul will sign long term.

Do you guys think that the league might be pressuring the Hornets to do this trade as soon as possible given that it basically owns the team? Coming out of a lockout, the last thing the league needs is a Melo-like drama to drag on for months and alienate the fans even further. If so, it is definitely beneficial for the C's as it does seem that we are offering the best package at the moment.

Honestly, i thought that this situation would be real similar to Melo's and take a few months to get resolved - especially after the Nuggets got what they wanted by being patient. Im surprised to hear that they are expected to make the decision by Friday

They don't want him, probably want cap room and rookie contracts more I guess.

Apparently DA is throwing three way trades at them now.
