While Chris Paul's first choice may be the Knicks, sources say he is also open to being traded to the Magic and Clippers.

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

C.S. Lewis

I'm all for Paul going to the Magic. It prevents Howard from going to the lakers and Paul going to the knicks, win-win for me.

Aside from knowing on where would CP3 is going to play this season, I would be interested to determine on how the new CBA could either favor the player or the team. This is a test case really.

Are we witnessing the unfolding of another superstar player twisting the arms of team GMs/owners?

exactly, this is what the owners were pushing to prevent with the system changes that the players were so adamantly against.

I know Paul wants to be with his buddy, Dwight, but the Clips have much more than the Magic of what the Hornets want: good young players and draft picks of value.

Besides, how great would that be that Paul is in LA, stealing the limelight from the Fakers and a fading Kobe and not in the East making life more difficult for us.

Meh, send him anywhere but the Clippers.  I want a nice pick around #10-13 in next years draft, not in the 20s.
do it

What are the Magic going to send to Hornets? They'd probably want Ryan Anderson and Jameer... You can't build around that.

The CP3 and Dwight drama will help us understand more on how the new CBA will play out. I could only wish home fans will really feel respected by the players whom they paid millions to get them to a level of respectability and display professional behavior.

The NBA owns the Hornets. Would they rather see Paul in the East or have a potential Superteam in the West with Paul going to LA?

Well, you have to remember that the "NBA" is actually all 29 owners.  I don't think they are going to allow the team to make a trade based on a political decision.  I really think in this situation, the directive is going to be to trade Paul for the best package possible.

Now, Paul's unwillingness to resign in certain markets may prevent those teams from making strong offers.  But they will not decide to make the trade just to send him to a particular city.

I dunno they let Gasol go to the Lakers in a pretty cooked deal.  I don't trust the NBA at all.  They seem to love the Lakers.

Is it the 29 owners or Stern?
