I would have appreciated a breakdown of the money saved by Minnesota in the course of those follow-up trades.

I would not be surprised if cost-savings, not talent, was a major impetus behind those moves.

Jefferson was a cost saving move, but as Ziller points out - Jefferson has a fairly reasonable contract and they didn't really do anything with the cap space created by moving him.

The Webster one was not.

As Ziller points out, you rarely get back full value when trading a player like KG. IMO, I believe Big Al was decent return. The real issue is that Kahn didn't get anything of value back from Utah for Big Al.

I like Adelman as a coach, but I think people need to take a step back about how 'promising' this team could be. The Rockets have a much better core group of players and he wasn't able to do that much with them.

Adelman signed up to coach a perennial contender led by TMac and Yao - we know how that worked out. Houston had Lowry, Scola, Martin, and not really anyone else worth noting. Minnesota has a ton of promising young players with huge upside.. I'm looking forward to see them play.

As I have been saying for years, Kahn is a horrible GM and what he has done with that Minnesota team is almost criminal. I see nothing promising about that Minnesota squad at all. If I was the Minnesota GM I would fire Kahn, hire someone else, anyone else except maybe Isiah Thomas and tell them do with our promising talent what Danny Ainge did for the Celtics with their promising talent in 2007.
