this is a really good follow up to his last grantland article. he made a bold argument that professional sports shouldn't be run like other businesses and that franchises had "other values", be it psychological, emotional or otherwise.
i wanted to agree, but was left wishing he would prove it instead of just pose it. i think he used a very outdated baseball example in that article.
here, he comes back again, this time with a great example of an "added value" of owning a professional sports franchise. a value not dependent on the economics of running a team.
