What about this 2011-12 roster (if there is a season)

Moves:
Resign Delonte West, Jeff Green
Sign JaJuan and ETwuan to their rookie deals
Sign Michael Redd and Joel Przybilla to vet min contracts
Split the MLE between Kwame and Kenyon (Maybe not equally, but something like it)

Kenyon would give KG a solid backup who can play big minutes. I don't think Gilbert Brown will make the training camp cut, and Daniels is a good defensive stopper. Redd would be able to prove himself on a championship team, but I don't think he is capable of a starting role. Being a backup/apprentice to "Ray Allen's School of Agelessness" Kwame, Joel, and Jermaine would be able to group conquer the center position.

Overall I don't see a huge hole in this roster, provided no injuries, and it would be pretty good for a 50 game season with a playoff rotation of

I like it, but unfortunately, I think Kenyon is a full MLE player, and Kwame may be close to it as well.  You are not getting both of them.

Kwame just signed a one year deal at 1.3 million with the Bobcats last year.

I don't think he played well enough to earn a bigger deal this upcoming season.

Kwame is definitely not a full MLE player and as for Kenyon, he already made a lot of money. I think he's looking for a championship now.

Yes, Kwame signed "prove it" contract last year, however he then proceeded to start 50 games for the Bobcats last year, and average 8 point and 7 rebounds in 26 minutes per game.  He also played very good defense in the process.

Can you name me any 29 year old 6'11" players who came off a season like that and did not get close to (or more than) the MLE?

Now, we can discuss whether last year was simply a contract year aberation, and whether he will be a bust once he gets paid.  But in my mind, there is no chance he gets less than half the MLE (or whatever that equivalent is in the new CBA).

As for Kenyon Martin, yes, he may be ready to win a championship...but there will be plenty of contenders willing to give him the full MLE.  My guess is that at the very least the Spurs and the Lakers will be knocking on his door, and possibly the Heat as well. 

The only chance Kenyon signs for significantly less than the MLE (or equivalent on new CBA) is if someone decides to go crazy and give him 3-4 years at a smaller annual salary (and I certainly don't think that is in the C's plans).  But on a 1 year deal...he is most certainly an MLE player.
