never heard anything about a Perkins trade till after it happened

be afraid, be very afraid! LOL

Danny Ainge is a cold blooded sonofabiscuit when it comes to this stuff, and he keeps things pretty tight to the chest. We're trading outta the first. God help us if its just for cash or a couple of second rounders or something.

Haha, yeah, it really could go either way.  I think with the minor deals with this team, it is more likely to leak a bit, but they are very good at keeping the big deals quiet.

I think the Ray deal also showed up very quickly with little notice.

More likely though, I think its quiet because the C's don't have a ton to work with.  But you never know...

Okay, time for everyone to buck up here.

Danny's clearly starting the rebuilding process, so if he can fill out a couple of spots on the roster with rookies with potential, he'll obviously do that.  If he trades out of the first, it'll be because he genuinely doesn't see sufficient value there.  But I think there are enough intriguing players, despite there being so few sure things, for him to bite.  I even think he'll bite twice in the first round and a half, somehow.

And Wyc has said he'll spend money when it's worth it.  We've had a couple of very good young vets give a wink and a nod our way in the last week and in about 53 hours we'll be in the midst of seeing the 2011 draft play out.

All is good.

I hope he can pull out a Belichickian trade, something like trading this year's #25 for Orlando's next year's first round pick or better yet, the rights to Fran Vazquez + this year's #53. Of course, Orlando's GM has to agree.

With the 2 end-of-the-barrel picks, he could take some euro prospects like they did with Semih, and they still could get someone like Keith Benson for very cheap.
