Read the second chapter of Bill Simmons "The Book of Basketball". Its about what Isiah Thomas calls The Secret. The Secret is that basketball isn't about basketball. Its about a group of people sacrificing and melding themselves together towards a common purpose.

You don't have to have the best statistics to be a championship team. You don't have to have the best talent to be a championship team. You don't have to win the most regular season games to be a championship team. You just have to be the best team you can be.

Russell and the Celtics got this.

Garnett, Pierce and Allen and the Celtics got this.

Chauncey Billups and the Pistons got this.

Isiah and his Pistons got this.

Tim Duncan and his Spurs get this better than any other modern team.

LeBron does not get this and may never get this.
