BASICALLY ! i mean imagine if we can turn glen davis into a player exception that turns into -possible filler in a  big trade down the road for a IMPACT player(cough cough dwight) or just a nice young player like oj mayo that my friend is making something outta nothing

It's possible, assuming the new CBA still allows for sign and trades (and rumor has it that the new one will not).

But any exception gained could not be combined with other exceptions, cap space, etc.
