Rondo played in Games 1 and 2 and those weren't all that competitive either, frankly. I know that Miami had the game tied in the 4th in one of those games, but it seemed like Miami was waiting to turn on the switch the whole game.

You don't lose in 5 games and get thoroughly dominated for the vast majority because of the refs.

And in terms of the clutch shots - well, clutch is clutch, and to hit them in even more difficult circumstances is even more impressive.

Agreed. I dont think they were a better team. I think we were injured. They had the best two players, but that doesnt make them the better team. They are max 4-5 deep and we are 9-10 deep. That tells me we were the better team. Healthy we win that series.

I know some posters will disagree.  I know we competed in all games and could have won.  I know people will complain about the refs.  People will talk about Perk, which I think is hogwash.

But the fact is, when the game was on the line, and both teams put forth their best effort, we always came up short.  That's not an accident.  That's one team imposing its will on the other.  

The era is over.  DA needs to make the tough decisions now.  Many fans will disagree with him if he does.  But the time has come to dismantle the team and look to the future.

No. Rondo was healty the first two games and we still lost.

I agree - Miami was the better team.

Miami's game plan was sound.  Play tough D, keep the score low, and try to pull it out late in the 4th quarter since they had the enormous advantage of having two of the three best scorers on the planet on the same team (the other being Kobe of course.)  It worked 4 out of 5 games so I say give them credit.

I also give credit to Lebron for showing a ton of respect to the C's in his interviews after the game.  In many ways, PP made LeBron.

I'm saying that Rondo, healthy or not, is not a good enough point guard to carry the Celtics over this talented a team over the course of a whole series. A game or two, maybe. Not three or four games.

  Your narrative doesn't really match what was happening on the court. We were close to winning both games with a well below par Rondo, we probably would have won both of them.
