and chicago, if we get that far.  If I recall correctly, both Mia and Chi played their star PF on JO the last time out, essentially allowing them to rest on D.

If Shaq can suit up, even if it is just 20 minutes, both bosh and boozer will have to play KG.  This would give us a big lift because they would have to play both sides of the game.

Shaq would cause mismatches and open things up across the floor instantly. If he makes it back iwould be HUGE indeed.  ;D

Shaq is definitely needed for us to have a chance to rebound the basketball with any consistency

Well, Shaq's return obviously would help.  But aside from purely what he brings to the court from an offensive standpoint, to go from having a legit 7-foot defensive presence only half the game (or less) vs. having a legit 7-foot defensive presence the whole game would be also huge.

ainge just said he can't even give the Cs 12 minutes right now. Boston is going to have to beat miami with JO and krstic.

I think it's doable. I feel OK about Krstic on Z. JO will need to take care of Joel Anthony (and Dampier if he makes an appearance).

If you can learn anything from what Danny, and Doc say to the press, it is never to trust it. They very well may be just saying that. I heard that shaq was going to practice tomorow.

Plus, 12 minutes of shaq isnt that bad.

Keeping joel anthony off the glass (especially on offense) needs to be a priority.  I used to think he was just an all around bum, but he is extremely active, long, and has good jumping ability. He also knows his role. If we can limit the extra possessions he creates, we'll be ahead of the game.

When Shaq was healthy, he usually had a strong start and then gassed out and turned into a statue. 12 minutes would be fine, considering we now have JO.

Ainge is great. What does that even mean? Can he give us 11 then? Why pick a number like 12? Just say he can't give us quality minutes right now.

I'd sure take him for just 12 minutes (6 to start each half). JO gets around 30 and either Krstic or BBD get the rest.
