Does he finally have a nickname?

19 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists, 50% shooting

Is there any doubt this guy puts twice as much effort into playoff games?  He actually takes those wide open layups and looks to push the ball way more.  You can see he's even running at his full speed more often.

As long as he continues to be "playoff Rondo" our offense will have no problems.  Can't wait to see him average a triple double against Chicago again.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Rondo has a pretty unique name, pretty much defeats the purpose of having a nick name.  When you say "Rondo" everyone knows who you're talking about.

I've always kind of liked "Raging Rondo" cause it pretty much sounds like his name already, and the amount of times broadcasters butcher his name, that would make things easier.

Let's hope that we get this level of performance from Rondo throughout the entire playoffs.  Last year he started out playing amazingly, but he tailed off as the playoffs went on.  His aggression really lagged, leading some to speculate that he was injured.

I think it was just LA's length that bothered him but Gasol/Bynum look spent and less mobile this year. I think he is going to abuse Miami and we might even see him on LeBron. ;)

I think a lot of that had to do with the defenses though.  As defenses tightened up, it became much harder for him to be a dominant player, no matter how hard he worked.  He had to play harder than everyone else just to help his team at all, and had to get really creative, basically resorting to being a "floater" who would play off the ball, and find holes in the zones and crash the boards.

This is the really unique thing about Rondo.  While he absolutely has a switch IMO, even when he flips it, he still can be taken way out of his game relatively easily by defensive schemes...yet he is able to completely morph his game and still be a game changer in a completely different role than the one that he is known for.

The fact that he had to come out of one of the Orlando games with a leg injury was more the cause of the injury speculation than anything else.

Gasol and Bynum were a huge part to limiting Rondo both directly and indirectly.  I think all the rebounds were the biggest difference.  With no rebound there's no break and that's where Rondo does a lot of his damage.  In the half court Kobe's too scared to get within 10 feet of him.

That's the thing.  Once Rondo flips the switch and gets his team going, the majority of the defense focuses on him.  Then it's up the other guys to get us through.  Rondo doesn't have the tools to win a whole series by himself.

I dunno, calling him "the switch" kinda implies that he doesn't try hard all the time. Kind of a crappy nickname imo even if it's true lol
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Regardless of if it is a good nickname, it is really true. When this guy has the mindset of taking over a game in many ways and changing the pace of the game in our favor, no body in the league has a switch like that in that sense.
