Troy Murphy wins his first playoff game!  :P

But seriously, that was beautiful. Still baffled by Melo's decision at the end there though...what was he thinking?

Every time we look to involve Ray in the game he saves the day. We did a horrid job of not getting him in the flow in the first half and suffered because of it. No shots in Q1, he was 2-3 in Q2, 3-6 in Q3, and 4-6 in Q4.

Does it take a rocket scientist to figure out that when we don’t force Ray’s involvement that we struggle offensively?!

JO was HUGE for as as well BTW and without that spurt of him playing so well it is unlikely we come back at all for Ray to hit that shot. If JO plays like that and we can involve Ray more we should walk right through the Knicks.

he wasn't.

i believe the pressure of the playoffs and the game situation got to him and, as he has a number of times, forgot he has teammates on the same floor with him. the result was what doc calls "hero ball."

good.  :)

good to see Ray get more aggressive going to the basket and looking for his shot but the C's have got to get him worked into the flow sooner and in a manner that's more natural to the flow of the game.

and with that---post number 3000!!  ;D

perhaps, but who on the knicks would cover ray well enough to shut him down? if would love to have them switch anthony onto ray so that pierce can go wild.

ray was tenacious tonight.  While our team is deservedly known for its toughness, he is tough in a way the other starters aren't.  he's not big, he's not an all-NBA defender, but man he fights and gets back up and fights and gets back up, never winces and never complains.  What a tremendous player to watch, and how lucky we are to have him on our team.

Other than the past 20 games or so, the Big 3 have had a serious resurgence this year, but to me Ray has been right at the head of the pack.  He has been so clutch, and it's been apparent all year that he's on a mission.  he knows they got cheated out of that trophy last year, and he is going to get it.

Lets just hope it doesn't take a Ray Ray bailout every game, because it's obvious Amare and 'Melo (can't call that team "the Knicks" because there's only 2 players) aren't going to roll over.
