I think Doc needs to change his rotations around.

He should start subbing D West in for Pierce.

Have Paul play with the 2nd unit instead of Ray.

I think Paul's game is much more suited for the 2nd unit.

I think Ray's game will benefit more with playing with Rondo/KG more.

I am not worried with pairing Green and Paul because we don't give the ball to Green anyway so it won't matter much.

We can go inside out with KG and Ray and then feed Paul ISOs in the 2nd unit.

This can at least sustain some form of consistent offense through out the course of the 48 minute game.

We shouldn't have too many offensive droughts.

And Doc should never consider benching all of the Big 4 at the same time ever.

I like your ideas here.  A second unit needs a catalyst, a role Paul fills better than Ray.

I don't mind Ray with the 2nd unit actually..if Ray's shot is on.

But right now, Ray is in a slump....he needs to play with BETTER caliber teammates.

Paul's game doesn't require this. He can iso if he wants and create for others if the opposing team decides to double.

Agreed. Of the Big 3, Ray is the one player where I think an increase in shots taken might actually affect his efficiency negatively, mostly because Ray has to work so hard to get open and get shots. Running full-tilt around screens has to kill his legs (and thus his jumper). On the other hand, I see Pierce and KG as pretty much able to get their shots whenever they want without any side effects.

So yeah, Pierce should get some more burn with that second unit so he can take shots instead of some of our scrubbier players.
