He goes into depth on a number of current and former issues.
This is why the Celtics are so good now. You gotta trust this guy after everything he's done.

Interesting note:
I completely forgot that the Lakers offered Bynum for Garnett back in the day, and instead the Wolves took Big Al.
Thinking of KG in the purple yellow makes me cringe.
There is a god.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Danny is a good GM.  However, he's not infallible; he's made his share of mistakes along the way.  Since he got us a championship, he deserves an A+, but if you take out the summer of 2008, I'd rate Danny around a B+ or so.

Also, I think Danny is just plain wrong when he puts *zero* blame for our struggles on the center position.  If Shaq and JO can be effective, I think we'll be okay, but Danny's spin that those two aren't necessary pieces is just propaganda for the masses.  At the time of the trade, we were told how important Shaq was.  Now that Shaq's return is being delayed and delayed, we're told that Shaq really doesn't matter as much as we think.

Danny would have made a great politician.  He talks out of both sides of his mouth, yet people praise him for his candor.

The idea that he is "candid" is especially surprising given his history for smoke screens around the draft.  To this day I am still convinced he never had a legit interest in Robert Swift, but just wanted to talk him up to create buzz in the hopes that someone better (turned out to be Big Al) would fall to the Cs.  Same thing with Marcus Williams.
Celtics fan for life.

Jackie MacMullan is not a he.

I think chambers meant Danny as the "he".

I'm not sure that he did . . . quoted portion of the post seems as though it's referring to the article.  In any case, just sticking up for Jackie, because I really respect her work.

I really like her writing style too.
